SUMMER COLOUR 2011

For once there were no major projects planned and, apart from the occasional weeding and watering  sessions it was lovely to just enjoy the colour in the garden. I found a poem by Shane DeRolf which seems to fit in with this page of Colour in the Garden.

A Rainbow of Colours

Wouldn't it be terrible ? Wouldn't it be sad?

If just one single colour was the colour that we had ?

If everything was purple ? Or red ? Or blue ? Or green ?

If yellow , pink or orange was all that could be seen ?

Can you just imagine how dull the world would be

If just one single colour was all that we could see ?

Fortunately we had masses of colour throughout the summer and we had plenty of warm days to relax

It's a pity that these colours will soon fade and we will be heading for the grey skies, rain, snow and bleak days of winter. At least we can look forward to next summer.
